Daviess County Sheriff’s Office incident summary

Please be aware of numerous phone scams. There are many different types of scammers calling your phones. NEVER, NEVER give out ANY of your personal information on the phone. If you feel it may be a valid call requiring payment on a past due bill, get their number and tell them you will call back. Then call the account that is in question using the phone number on said statement or bill to verify. Just remember… Never give out personal information.

12:20 pm – Out in Winston regarding civil matter.

1:56 pm – Report of black lab in median on I-35 at the 65mm.

3:36 pm – Report of domestic complaint Lake Viking.

5:08 pm – Stranded motorist east of Altamont. Car moved to side of road.

10:40 pm – Vehicle slid off the side of the road into a cow pasture three miles west of MoDOT barn on Highway 6.

10:54 pm – Report of van which slid into ditch about a mile west of Jamesport on Highway 6. No injuries.

11:15 am – Abandoned vehicle towed from Lake Viking area.

6:41 pm – Report of a Gallatin residence break-in.

2-8-2018

7:40 am – Vehicular rollover accident on Highway 6, half mile west of Altamont. No injury reported.

9 am – Court in session.

10:17 am – Report of black lab near roadway on I-35 NB at the 66mm.

9:21 pm – Klayton Derek Shaw, 19, Gallatin, was picked up on a FTA from a previous charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; $500 bond posted and court date given.

9 am – Court in session.

9:28 am – Report of male without a coat, walking near Otter Avenue.

9:32 am – Working on the fire alarms at Gallatin High School.

2:25 pm – Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisting Gallatin Fire Department in Gallatin.

2-10-2018

7:13 am – Report of animal neglect in Jamesport.

10:37 am – Stranded motorist on Highway 6 and Grand.

4:15 pm – Report of missing vehicle from Auberry Grove & Broadway.

4:38 pm – Vehicle referenced above has been found.

2-11-2018

11:10 am – Bryon Lamarr Cunningham, 48, St. Cloud, Minn., was arrested on a felony charge of possession of controlled substance and multiple misdemeanor charges. Subject transported to DDCRJ. Bond set at $35,000.

11:10 am – Amy Hunter, 37, St. Cloud, Minn., was arrested on a felony charge of possession of controlled substance and misdemeanor charge of paraphernalia. Subject transported to DDCRJ. Bond set at $25,000.
