A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Lake Viking Church near Gallatin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Lake Viking Church Youth Group or Gallatin Wrestling Club in care of McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.
Freddy was born Aug. 2, 1984, the son of Fred Jr. and Karen (Wessley) Jones in Chillicothe, Mo. He graduated from Gallatin High School in 2003. After high school Freddy began working as a lead spray foam insulator for Beyond Insulation, where he was employed for five years. He moved to the Kansas City area where he worked as a skilled carpenter and member of the Kansas City Carpenters Union. Freddy was a handyman, a jack of all trades.
Freddy was united in marriage to Hannah (Schneider) Jones on March 14, 2015, in Kansas City and the couple made their home in Overland Park, Kan., amongst several other places before settling back in to Gallatin; where Freddy aspired to plant roots and build his family.
Freddy and Hannah attended Westside Church in Leavenworth with Ed, Freddy’s father-in-law, and also enjoyed attending the Lake Viking Church with parents, Karen and Fred Jones.
His hobbies included playing disc golf, wrenching on cars, enjoying nature, and collecting Hot Wheels. His true passion was raising and loving Amirah as his own. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife and with his family. He enjoyed all of the simple things in life. Freddy will always be remembered for his love of family and ability to make anyone smile. We can no longer see you with our eyes, touch you with our hands, but we will feel you in our hearts forever.
Survivors include his wife, Hannah, parents, Fred and Karen Jones; step-daughter Amirah Hood, sisters; Vicky Jones and fiancé Jason Kastanek, Valarie Jones, paternal grandmother; Bonita Plumb, mother in-law; Peggy Todd, and father-in-law; Ed Schneider, brothers-in-law; Ben and Paul Schneider, sisters-in-law, Shannon Schneider and Megan Todd, nieces and nephews and great niece.
