Joseph Gingerich 1933-2018

Joseph C. Gingerich, 84, Jamesport, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018.
He was born June 25, 1933 in Buchanan Count, Iowa the son of Chester and Mattie (Kauffman) Gingerich.
On November 7, 1957, he married Lydia Detwieler.  They lived in matrimony 60 years and to this union were born, 5 sons and 5 daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 stillborn daughter, Rebecca; 1 son, Chester; 1 daughter-in-law, Polly; 1 grandson, Perry; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia; daughter, Lena Kramer, Sulfer Springs, TX, son, Freeman Gingerich and wife, Ida, Jamesport, MO, daughter-in-law, Wilma Gingerich, Jamesport, MO, daughter, Martha and husband, Noah Kramer, Jamesport, MO, son, Eli Ray Gingerich and wife, Betty, Jamesport, MO, daughter, Lizzie Ann and husband, Merle Yoder, Jamesport, MO, son, Danny Joe Gingerich, Rockport, MO, daughter, Naomi and husband, Paul Byler, Jamesport, MO and son, John Henry Gingerich and wife, Katie, Norwood, MO; 59 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6 at the Eli Kauffman residence, Jamesport, MO.  Burial will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery, Jamesport, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Jamesport, MO.
