Gallatin native Brice Garnett finished in a tie for 35th place on Sunday in completion of the Farmers Insurance Open held at Torrey Pines Country Club in San Diego, California.
Garnett, who returns to the PGA Tour from the Web.com Tour, shot his best golf on Thursday and Friday when he combined for 20 birdies during the first two days of the tournament. He shot 69 on Thursday, 70 on Friday and finished up with rounds of 75 and 73.
Seventy-seven players made the cut for the Farmers Insurance Open, which wrapped up Monday when Jason Day won a six-hole playoff against two other players.
The next event on the PGA Tour is the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona.
