Gallatin R-5 junior defensive end Graydee Rains, shown putting pressure on Putnam County quarterback Levi Fowler, was named last week to the Class 1 third team defensive unit by the Missouri Football Coaches Association. Rains was one of eight Grand River Conference players to make the coaches’ all-state list.

Rains finished the season with 78 tackles, including 21 for loss, 5.5 quarterback sacks, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked punt.

Joining Rains on MFCA all-state teams are Princeton’s Clayton Sweeten, Andrew Smith, Blaine Milburn, Drew Dailey and Tanner Coffman; Polo’s Patrick Covey; and Maysville’s Nick Evans.
