Louise Maurer, 100, Lakewood, Colo., (formerly of Pattonsburg, Mo.) passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.

She was born May 22, 1917, in Pattonsburg, Mo., the daughter of Charles William and Agnes Ruth (Savage) Lear. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Glen E. Maurer.
Louise was blessed with a very full and long life as she balanced raising her children and working in various professions including mail-room management at a large subsidiary of Bayer Company, retail sales at JC Penney, and consulting at H&R Block. She loved her extended family, reading, music, crafts and sewing, celebrating events with friends and family, and she dabbled in interior design for her family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Shinkle, Golden, Colo.; son, Michael A. DeKeyser, North Chesterfield, Va.; brother, Charles Clifford Lear, Sedalia, Mo.; grandchildren, Kimberly A. Darling, Littleton, Colo., Mark S. Shinkle, Littleton, Colo., Michael R. DeKeyser, Calif., Major Charles DeKeyser, Powhatan, Va., Captain Joshua DeKeyser, Henrico, Va., Captain Richard DeKeyser, Beaverdam, Va.; great-grandchildren, Nicole Darling, John Darling, Dylan Shinkle, Jacob Shinkle, Jessica Shinkle, Sydney Shinkle, Nicholas DeKeyser, Austin DeKeyser, Hattie DeKeyser, Elin DeKeyser, Henri DeKeyser; and one great-great-grandchild, Sebastian Halvorsen.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens, Pattonsburg, Mo., under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, Mo.
