Fire Safety Day 2017 is in the books and will be one to remember for the Winston Elementary students. This year all students preschool through second grade made a special visit to the KAW Fire Department in Winston. Students were greeted by volunteers, who talked with them about their jobs, equipment, and how to stay prepared in the event of a fire at their home. Students were also treated to exploring the equipment, helping with the fire hose and a bag of safety awareness items.
The volunteers then visited grade three to six at the school building and did a short presentation in the classrooms as well. Samantha West organized the event.
