Gloria F. Lint 80 of Gallatin passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home in Gallatin. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 4 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gallatin. Visitation will be held 1-hour prior to the service at the Church. Friends may call after 11am Friday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church,(for missionary support), in care of McWilliams Funeral Home.
Gloria F. Lint was born April 24, 1937, the daughter of Ralph and Anna (Lintz) Wakefield in Muscatine, IA. She graduated from high school in Harlan, IA and attended College for 1 year. Gloria was united in marriage to Clyde Lint October 3, 1952 in Muscatine and became an Air Force bride. Home was wherever Clyde was stationed; Gloria especially enjoyed being stationed in Europe and living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. Gloria was a stay at home Mom who devoted her life to her 5 sons. She attended to their every need and gave them a loving and nurturing home. Early in their lives their commitment to God was evident, Clyde became a Minister, serving Iowa and Missouri Assembly of God Churches, and Gloria was at his side every step of the way. In 1983 the couple moved to Gallatin and served at the First Assembly of God Church through 1990, and later returned to pastoring the Gallatin Church in 2005 until retirement in January of 2010. Gloria was involved in every aspect of their ministry and took a special interest in Vacation Bible School, Christmas Programs and women’s ministry. The Lint family dedicated 48 years serving and ministering churches. During that time Gloria and Clyde touched many lives preaching the word of God.
Gloria was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She adored her family especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to their visits and kept up on the activities. Gloria was a woman of faith who dedicated her life to serving; she was at her best when she was caring for the needs of her family, friends and her Church. She was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her and will be greatly missed.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Paul and Kevin Lint, brothers, David and Richard and sister, Patricia.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clyde of the home sons, Ronald (Melitta) Lint of Glenwood, IA, Timothy Lint of Cornville, AZ, Gregory (Leslie) Lint of Abingdon, VA, brother Daniel Wakefield of Cottonwood, AZ and sister, Janean (Travis) McDonald of Neosho, MO, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
