Barbara K. Fegan passed away at home on Sunday, October 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 19, 1940, the youngest child of Harvey and Alta Harmon from Pattonsburg, Missouri.
Barbara dedicated her time and resources to helping those in need. She was a Trustee of the Board of St. Lukes Foundation, Chairman of the St. Lukes North Foundation Board, and a member of the St. Lukes Home Care and Hospice Board. Barbara was instrumental in raising funds to build the St. Lukes Hospice House on Southwest Trafficway and was responsible for the design, creation and funding of the beautiful Tree of Life stained glass window which graces the facilitys chapel.
She also served on the Geary Community Hospital Board where the Tom and Barbara Fegan Intensive Care Unit was named in honor of Barbara and her husband Tom. She served on a number of boards and advisory boards including the Midwest Innocence Project and Medical Mission Foundation.
Barbaras greatest commitment and love was to her daughters and extended family. She loved to needlepoint, paint and enjoyed crafting.
The love of her life was Tom Fegan, and they were married on September 25, 1987. They lived in Junction City, Kansas, where Tom served as Mayor and Barbara continued her community service. Tom preceded Barbara in death in 1998.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Laura Welch, Robin Corderman (Barry) and Stacy Schneider; grandchildren, Justin Bridges (Melissa), Kent Bridges and Sheldon Kronewitter; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Cason Bridges; sister, Lucille Severe (Bill); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private Family services will be held.
