Opal A. Kelly, 82, Cameron, Mo., (formerly of Stanberry, Mo.) passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at a Cameron, Mo., nursing home.

She was born July 22, 1935, in Claremore, Okla., the daughter of August and Opal (Nelson) Quick.

On Dec. 3, 1953, she married Jack H. Kelly in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2013.

Opal worked as an office administrator for Stanberry Rural Health Clinic and was also an EMT. She was a member of the Grand River Ambulance District, Red Hat Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Beta Sigma Phi and of the Church of God Seventh Day and Lites Ministry in Stanberry.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Howard Kelly; daughter, Renee Lewis; grandson, Kenneth Ray Kelly; and brother, Kenneth Quick.

Survivors include her two sons, August (Linda) Kelly, St. James, Mo., Jeffry (Fei Wu) Kelly, Visalia, Calif.; grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Kelly, Union Star, Mo., Dusty Kelly, Columbia, Mo., Cody (Niki) Kelly, Jefferson City, Mo., Shawn Livingston, St. James, Mo., Jared Kelly, Visalia, Calif., Tiffany Kelly, Portland, Ore., Jonathan Kelly, Visalia, Calif., Wen Shan Kelly, Visalia, Calif., Christian (Kendra) Lewis, Charity (Brad) Swindler, and Michael Lewis, all of Cameron, Mo.; sister, Betty Dameron, Russellville, Ark.; 15 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; her cherished dog, Bojangles of the home; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Church of God Seventh Day, Stanberry, Mo., under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, Mo. Burial will follow in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, Mo., where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday.
