Novak and his wife Laura will enjoy spending more time in retirement with their four grandchildren. They will continue to raise cattle and hope to get in some more fishing.

Novak’s favorite part of working with MoDOT has been all the great people he said he’s been fortunate to work with. Novak said he will not miss the phone ringing in the middle of the night and is looking forward to just relaxing and watching it snow this winter.

“We want to thank Kevin for his 18 years of service to the department and the citizens of Missouri,” said District Engineer Don Wichern. “We appreciate his dedication and hard work and wish him and Laura a very happy and long retirement.”
