Two people were moderately injured in an accident that happened at about 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 12 in Daviess County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as Marc Baker-Camacho, 25, Kansas City, was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra northbound on I-35. At exit 78, about two miles east of Pattonsburg, the vehicle travelled off the east side of the roadway, struck an embankment and a fence, and then came to rest upright on the east side of the road.
Mr. Baker-Camacho, who was wearing a seat belt, and a passenger, Steven Sullivan, 25, Polo, Ill., who was not wearing a seat belt, were transported by Nolte Adams Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital.
The Sierra was totaled.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball.
