The five county schools of Daviess County welcomed 1,289 students for the 2017-2018 school year. Last year’s beginning enrollment was 1,315, which means 26 fewer students signed up for school this year.

North Daviess (three) and Pattonsburg (six) and Tri-County (10) gained more in the student body than last year.

Winston had seven fewer students enroll this year, and Gallatin had the biggest number fluctuation, with 38 fewer students this year compared to last year. Detailed numbers of enrollment are:

Gallatin – Preschool, 33; Elementary, 194; Middle School, 183; High School, 196; Total: 606. Last year’s enrollment was 644.

North Daviess – Preschool, 3; Elementary, 51; Junior High (7th-8th), 13; High School (9th-12th), 20; Total: 87. Last year’s enrollment was 84.

Pattonsburg R-2 – Preschool, 22; Elementary, 103; Middle school, 36; High school, 67; Total: 228. Last year’s enrollment was 222.

Winston R-6 – Preschool, 9; Elementary, 77; Junior High (7th-8th), 31; High School (9th-12th), 61; Total: 178. Last year’s enrollment was 185.

Tri-County R-7 – Preschool, 21; Elementary, 87; Junior High (7th-8th), 29; High School (9th-12th), 53; Total: 190. Last year’s enrollment was 180.
