Judith A. Lockridge was born Feb. 17, 1958, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (McCrary) Lockridge in Kansas City, Mo. She grew up in the Jamesport area and graduated from Tri County High School in Jamesport. She attended Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg and graduated with a degree in public relations. Judith moved to Kansas City and began her working career where she was employed as a leasing agent with a commercial real estate company. She later received her real estate license where she sold residential property. Judith dedicated many years of service working for the Kansas City Star, where she was district manager of the carriers. She was an innovative person who strived for perfection. Judith was a people person and made lasting relationships wherever she went.
Judith was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church. She was a very social person who liked to have fun and made the most of life. Her many hobbies included traveling, going to the lake and spending time with friends; she was a wonderful cook and loved to host Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings at the farm. In 2000, after the loss of her father, Judith cared for her mother in her home until she passed away in 2007. Judith adored her family–especially her nieces. She had a smile that would lighten up the room and never left home without being completely fashioned from head to toe. Her ability to make her family and friends feel special was her legacy. She was a lovely lady who will be greatly missed by those knew and loved her.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Sharron Clark.
Judith is survived by her brother, Denton Clark of Gallatin, nieces Dana Landes of Liberty, Diana Dehlic and husband Mike of Lee’s Summit; great-niece, Zalie Landes of Grain Valley, and Blaise Baker of Kansas City; and great-nephews Andrew Baker of Kansas City and Kendric Dehlic of Lee’s Summit.
