Ann Netherton, 82, Gladstone passed away July 28th, 2017. She was born September 23rd, 1934 in Jameson, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Celiamae (Herald) O’Hare.
She attended grade school and high school in Jameson, Missouri and Garr’s Business School in St. Joseph, Missouri. Ann was a Cub Scout and Weblos den mother and held various positions, including President of the Nashua Parent Teachers Association. She volunteered for many church and community activities. Ann played competitive volleyball and was also an avid gardener. She was recognized numerous times for her manicured landscaping and it was rumored she vacuumed her yard and trimmed her grass with scissors. She was also known for her beautiful rose gardens.
Ann accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church. Morris and Ann married September 7th, 1952. They had three children Mike Netherton, Liberty, MO, Randy Netherton, Littleton, CO, and Sherri Perry, Kansas City, MO. Ann had three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her favorite pass time was watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of their activities.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, parents, brother, Robert H. O’Hare, nephew, Steve O’Hare and great-granddaughter, Heaven Michelle Netherton.
Funeral services held were Tuesday, August 1st at Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel, 801 NW 108th St., Kansas City, MO. Visitation preceded the service with burial following. Osta Ann requested contributions be made to the Northcare Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO.
