4:28 am – Report of residential burglar alarm near Pattonsburg. All ok upon arrival.

5:20 am – Looking for stranded motorist reported by MSHP on Highway 13 south of Jameson.

1:01 pm – Responding to report of verbal disagreement and possible assault at location north of Gallatin.

3:20 pm – Charges were filed on James Firebaugh, 51, Excelsior Springs, for class D felony possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone) and class D felony stealing of a controlled substance. Firebaugh allegedly took a bottle of oxycodone pills from the hand of a sleeping man at a Gallatin residence on Aug. 4 and placed the bottle in his pocket. The theft was witnessed by another subject. He was taken into custody with 80 oxycodone pills in a Xanax prescription bottle with his name on it, according to the probable cause statement. Firebaugh was arrested Aug. 4 by Gallatin Police Department on these charges and on a Clay County probation/parole warrant on original charges of burglary and theft of controlled substance. Bond is set at $25,000 cash.

6:21 pm – Report of abandoned vehicle north of Winston.

7:03 pm – Report of loud music and harassment at Wabash Crossing.

8:59 pm – Subject requesting well-being check on family member near Gallatin.

9:10 pm – Caldwell County advising of intoxicated person riding a horse in Hamilton; asking for assistance in locating owner of horse.

10:06 pm – Complaint of juveniles hiding in bushes near the school in Jamesport.

10:16 pm – Call regarding C&I truck on Highway B and 330th Street north of Jamesport.

10:18 pm – Cow out on Highway 69 south of Oval west of Altamont.

1:01 am – Out with semi that has broke down on Highway 6 east of Gallatin.

2:40 pm – Caldwell County advising that they have Javier Valenzuela in custody on a Daviess County warrant for bond revocation on original felony charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of illegal weapon, misdemeanor driving while suspended and drug paraphernalia. Valenzuela was transported to DDCRJ where $15,000 bond was posted.

3:30 pm – Complaint of individual speeding in Pattonsburg.

5:02 pm – Well-being check requested on subject in Altamont. All ok.

7:07 pm – Caller advising of possible anhydrous leak at MFA on Highway 6 east of Gallatin.

8:04 pm – All problems with anhydrous tanks at MFA have been taken care of and all is fine.

2:51 pm – Two-car accident on Highway 6 at Highway F in Jamesport. No injuries.

4:39 pm – Complaint regarding suspicious person looking in mailboxes on Highway 69.

6:25 pm – Notification of car repossession in Pattonsburg.

7:20 pm – Benjamin Shubert, 36, Gallatin, was picked up by Gallatin PD on a warrant issued by Harrison County for FTA on a seat belt violation. Shubert posted a $10 bond at the Sheriff’s Office (SO) and was released.

10:23 pm – MSHP arrested James Walker, 35, Coffey, for DWI. Walker was transferred to DDCRJ on 12-hour detoxification, issued summons and released.

10:28 pm – Sullivan County advising Kristy Jo Dixon, 42, Jamesport, was arrested on a Daviess County warrant for FTA on original charges of misdemeanor DWI. Dixon posted a $500 bond and was released.

2:07 am – Dekalb County advising they have arrested George Burnett, 54, Cameron, on a Daviess County warrant for class D felony stealing. Burnett was transported to DDCRJ on $25,000 cash bond.

11:52 am – Following runaway horse and buggy in Jamesport.

1:33 pm – All clear from above incident.

9:06 pm – Complaint regarding dog running loose in Coffey.

10:38 pm – Car vs. deer on I-35 at the 70mm. No injuries.
