Bonnie Mae Place, 90, Gallatin, Mo., passed away on August 3, 2017, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton, Mo.

Bonnie was born on November 6, 1926, in Elliot, Ohio, to Goldie F. (Dye) and Curtis A. Whetstone. Her father passed away and her mother then married Leota A. (LA) “Brownie” Brown.

Bonnie married Jack Byron Place on January 22, 1951, in Arkansas, and he passed away on September 3, 1990.

Bonnie and Jack owned and operated Places Super Market in Gallatin, Mo., until they retired in 1980 and moved to Arizona. Bonnie managed stores in Arizona including Jullian Ent. and Norby Fashions for 15 years. She also owned Bonnie’s Antiques in Gallatin.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Larry E. Place, Phoenix, AZ; and several grandchildren all of Arizona.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 19, at 11 am, at the Gallatin, Mo., United Methodist Church.

Inurnment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gallatin United Methodist Church.
