David Cox attended the solid waste meeting May 23 in Trenton.
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, met with commissioners regarding issues around the county. Crews have completed replacing deck boards and continue to replace corrugated metal pipes around the county.
Commissioners met with the new Region H SEMA Representative, Mike Booth, Region B Representative, Jeff Alton, and David Roll, Emergency Management Director. Discussion was held on the Emergency Plan review and other items.
Commissioners viewed a training webinar with FacilityDude for a work order system via mobile applications.
Allison Spidle, Daviess County Library Director, has asked for use of the courthouse lawn on Aug. 21 for an organized event for the viewing of the solar eclipse that day. Commissioners agreed to this.
Commissioners attended the Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting at noon.
In the afternoon, commissioners reviewed roads, bridges and culverts in Sheridan, Colfax, and Jefferson Townships.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
