Kaitlyn Phillips informed the Winston Village Board of Trustees of her interest in filling the trustee position. She was appointed by the board during their meeting on May 1 and the city clerk administered the Oath of Office. Ms. Phillips took her seat for the remainder of the one-year term, until the next regular municipal election.

Shadow Phillips and Tracy Filley expressed their interest in filling the open position in street maintenance. Mr. Phillips and Mr. Filley answered board questions and each stated their qualifications. The board asked both men to step outside so the board could discuss and vote on which candidate to hire. The board motioned to hire Tracy Filley.

Banking signatures were authorized as follows: Arvella Eaton, Chair; Sarah Ragan, Chair Pro Tem; Brenda Goll, Secretary; Nichole Gregornik, Trustee, Kaitlyn Phillips, Trustee, and Amber White, Clerk.

The income and expense report was approved and bills paid.

The clerk distributed a new list of delinquent customers, including eight due for shutoff.

Melvin McFee reported everything was working properly are far as sewer maintenance and there were no problems.

The clerk informed the board about a possible water leak at the town hall, sharing with the board a large water bill.

The next organizational board meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 5, at 7 p.m.
