A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Betty, the daughter of Thomas and Gladys Taylor, was born on April 14, 1924, near Pattonsburg.

She was married on Aug. 18, 1940 to William Edgar Taul, who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1997. The couple raised a family of seven children.

She will be remembered as mom, grandma, granny, sister, neighbor and friend by many. She loved cooking for her family and baking for her boys. She won many ribbons at the Trenton fair. She would work on a project all year. She quilted, gardened, and never met a book she did not enjoy reading. She loved Hallmark movies, but her greatest love was the St. Louis Cardinals.   She was a great advisor whether you wanted her opinion or not. One plaque in her kitchen read, “The older I get, the better I was.”  Betty will be remembered by many whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her children, Doris Taul Provorse and husband Gary, Ike Taul, Dorothy Taul, Nancy Taul, Billy Taul, and Peggy Boulware and her husband, Barry, all of the Trenton area, and Linda Taul Toelkes and her husband, Bill, of Texas; brothers, Bobby, Ivan and Kenneth Taylor; a sister, Janice Miller; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Garold, George, Russell and Raymond; and one grandson, Ricky Provorse.

Memorials are suggested to the Willis Chapel Cemetery and may be sent to Doris Provorse at 907 W. 18th St., Trenton, Mo., 64683.

Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
