Breanne Brammer, the daughter of Kim and Dennis Brammer of Gallatin graduated from the University of Missouri on Friday, May 12, at Mizzou Arena. She obtained a Masters of Science in agricultural leadership, communication and education with a teaching certificate. As a graduate student, Breanne was selected for an assistantship with the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics where she served as a teacher’s assistant instructing more than 250 students.
While in her master’s program, Breanne served as a mentor to freshman in the department of Agricultural Education and Leadership, was selected as a program ambassador and inducted to Alpha Tau Alpha, an agricultural education honors society. Nationally, she was a Teach Ag Ambassador, a program that raises awareness about the shortage of agricultural educators. She represented this program at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky., and traveled to the Future Agriculture Educator Symposium in Washington, D.C. During her summer she traveled to Europe where she toured 10 countries.
Breanne continues to be involved with University of Missouri and agricultural endeavors. She serves on the recruitment committee for the Women’s Griffiths Leadership Society, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Executive in Residence board and is a member of the Missouri 4-H Foundation, and a lifetime member of the Mizzou Alumni Association. After completing student teaching at the Carrollton Area Career Center, she accepted a position in Salisbury, where she will serve as an agricultural instructor and FFA advisor.
