An Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) course has been set up for Daviess County Central 911 dispatchers with PowerPhone, an education portal for 911 call-handlers. The course is for renewing EMD certifications and new employee certifications. The cost for the certifications is $2,931, and the Daviess County Central 911 Board accepted the cost during the March 30 meeting.

In other business, the required financial statement for political subdivision has been filed with the State of Missouri.
The generator needed repairs and a new battery has been installed.
The March treasurer’s report was accepted with bills of $15,298; revenue of $28,363.75; miscellaneous revenue of $4,428.90; and a checkbook balance of $79,051.91.
There was no meeting in February due to lack of a quorum. The February Treasurer’ report was accepted with bills of $5,662.5; revenue of $26,322.21; and a checkbook balance of $75,278.66.
During the April 27 meeting, Mrs. Carder said she received a call from Morrell Farms concerning naming the roads in a private subdivision they have created on their land. The board advised that Geo-Comm is under contract to assign new county roads as part of the yearly maintenance agreement. Therefore, if there were any costs from Geo-Comm associated with setting up road names for private housing areas, those costs would be assessed to Morrell Farms.
During board member comments, Ronetta Burton said she was asked by the county clerk about a lease agreement between 911 and the county for use of the 911 office space. Mrs. Carder noted that this question had been brought up before by the county clerk. There is no formal agreement. At the inception of Daviess County Central 911, the commissioners offered use of the office space, according to the board meeting minutes in March 1991, and all that information had previously been given to the county clerk.
John Sullenger inquired about the Daviess County Ambulance District’s possible use of the Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) system currently in use by the sheriff’s office. Daniel Wilson advised that he understood that the ambulance district was going to utilize the system.
The April treasurer’s report was accepted with bills of $5,503.22; revenue of $2,806.42; and a checkbook balance of $82,887.79.
