Janna Barton with Municipal Assistance Company performed a property survey and noted five properties of concern for the City of Pattonsburg. City officials will notify these property owners first, and then give them 10 business days to get their property cleaned up. If it is not done within 10 days, the matter will be turned over to the Municipal Assistance Company.

In other business at the meeting of the Board of Aldermen held April 17, election results were accepted. Karen Shepherd was sworn into office as city clerk by Mayor Howard. Mayor Edmon Howard and Alderman Dustin Sperry and Lonnie Luke were sworn into office by City Clerk Karen Shepherd. They will hold office until April 2019. Sandra Woodring was appointed to fill in as alderman until next election and was sworn in. She will hold the office until the next election or until the position is filled. Karen Shepherd was appointed custodian of records.

The board agreed to pay a bill submitted by Sanford Reynolds for drain tile put in by Big Creek, where the sewer line crosses the creek.

The board voted to discontinue trash service to a resident due to non-payment.

Lucille Lusk with Small Towns Cooperative Board presented the council an ordinance prohibiting miscellaneous acts within the City of Pattonsburg, including violations of public property and the property of others, residing in a vehicle or non-residential structure, and related matters. The board accepted Bill 2017-01.

More vandalism was done to the Depot and Caboose. The council tabled this subject until next month.

The board received a letter from Bruce Lowery stating that the estate for Tommie Lowery has been officially filed and those who have claims against his estate have until June 8 to file with the probate court in Gallatin. After discussion, the board motioned not to file against the estate of Tommie Lowery.

Board of Adjustment was tabled until next month.

The board will review the budget and make adjustments where needed at the city council meeting in May.

Albert Gardner will be contacted to let him know that the city is no longer interested in removing any trees.
