Amy McMahon, chief cataloguer at the Daviess County Library, talked with North Daviess Board of Education members about the library setting up a booth at R-3’s Family Fun Night. Family Fun Night will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, and will have a gardening theme. Food will be provided.

The library would also like to hold an assembly in the gym in April to talk to students about its summer reading program. The program is held at the county library in Gallatin.
In other business at the March 13 meeting of the R-3 board, mowing bids will be solicited for the 2017-2018 school year.
The 2017-18 certified salary schedule was approved.
Attendance is at 95.39% with enrollment at 80 total students. FFA week went well; Prom was March 3; Power Play trip is scheduled for March 22.
Principal Tim Harding started an official Facebook page on March 6 and has many “likes.”
Health Insurance rates will stay the same for next year; the board voted to keep the same plans.
A student summer maintenance worker will be hired.
Next board meeting was set for Monday, April 17, in the conference room.
