A brief introduction and overview will be presented by Dr. Bryan Copple, superintendent of schools. But much of the forum will be discussion in a question-answer format. All school patrons are invited to participate and share in the discussion.

The tax proposal involves a 90-cent increase in the school’s operating levy, expected to generate approximately $373,000 annually. School officials plan to put the new revenue to various use. This is the first tax increase of this kind to be put before voters since 1993.

If approved by voters at the April 4 election, Gallatin’s tax levy will increase from $3.4568 to $4.6556 per $100 of assessed valuation.

Light refreshments will be served at the end of Monday night’s forum. You are urged to attend this public meeting and voice your questions in preparation for the April 4 ballot decision.
