This week road and bridge crews will be working on Pepper Avenue in conjunction with the City of Gallatin water project. Crews will be placing deck boards on Key Avenue in Grand River Township.
Wayne Uthe moved to add addendum #1- bid price not tied to asphalt index and no repairs will be prior to overlay; and #2 – to extend the deadline for completion for the bid specifications for Quick Avenue (Landmark Road) to an end date of Aug. 15, 2017. The motion was seconded by David Cox; motion carried.
The bid hearing for Quick Avenue (Landmark Road) was held at 10 a.m. Discussion on the two addendums for all bidders was held. Bids were as follows with all bid bonds attached: McConnell & Associates, $132,282.31; Metro Asphalt, $188,827.40; Herzog Contract Inc., $134,570; Keller Construction, $160,946.
In attendance were John Wiggins, Howe and Company, Jared Dakin, McConnell & Associates, Tony Keller, Keller Construction, and Teresa Buerler, Metro Asphalt. Commissioners will take all bids under consideration.
Keith Sutton discussed road and brush issues around the county with commissioners.
Commissioners reviewed brush, roads, culverts and bridges in Liberty, Sheridan, Jefferson and Colfax Township.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
