A motion carried to complete documentation on all of lot 2, track B of Morris subdivision for future sale of the lots during the Feb. 24 meeting of the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail Board. This is the ground the annex sits on. Board members wanted to make sure documentation was complete and a correct description of the property made before putting it up for bid.

Administrator Ed Howard gave a progress report on the installation of the refrigeration units. The units are in, and waiting on the coolers to arrive. A.K. Hangley will be completing the electrical work, and installation should be complete within 30 days.

Assistant Administrator Gary Dowell gave the financial report, which the board accepted. Sales tax revenue for January 2017 $70,739.32; Commissary grossed $10,128.31 in February; CD Account balances $237,688.93 and $100,000.00; Sales Tax Account balance is $571,969.11; Operating Account balance is $52,635.87; A/R $162,201.04; A/P $130.84; Payroll Account balance is $14,079.61.

All signatures were updated at BTC bank for all accounts.

Mr. Dowell gave an update on training.

Mr. Howard will be conducting O/C Pepper Spray Training class in the near future, and suggested that Daviess and DeKalb County Sheriff’s officers were welcome to attend.

Mr. Howard reported that one van was leaking oil, but has been repaired, and one van still out of service due to transmission issues, but should be back in service by next week.
