Two Gallatin men were recently arrested for a burglary that occurred last June.
According to the probable cause statement prepared Dec. 8, 2016, Adam Michael Schambow, 28, and Dustin Lee Crouse, 22, entered an apartment at 503 S. Main Street in Gallatin on or around June 15, 2016, and removed a futon without the permission or knowledge of the owner. The futon was tan in color with a white metal frame. They took the futon to another apartment at the same location and placed it in the living room area.
Schambow and Crouse were each charged Feb. 25 with second degree burglary, C felony, and theft, A misdemeanor. The probable cause statement was prepared by Officer Johnnie J. McKee.
Chief Mark Richards said that the owner did not know the futon was missing until later and this created a delay in the timeline of the report.
