Mary Grace Weldon was a member of the Gallatin DAR chapter years ago and, upon her passing, her family organized this award in memory of her great love of music and support of the musical education of our children. The recipient should exhibit strong technical and performance skills and show a deep love of music and their instrument. This year’s winner is Jennison Lichfield, who performed a clarinet solo.
Entertainment was provided by the Gallatin Senior High Ensemble Choir, conducted by Ms. Sheryl Warren. They performed a selection of patriotic music including the Star Spangled Banner.
Refreshments were served following the awards ceremony.
