On Feb. 3, 2017, the Gallatin FBLA American Enterprise Team made a presentation to Mr. Beenken’s eighth grade class about the free enterprise system. The focus of the presentation was on jobs and careers in America and the ability for individuals to choose their own paths. They presented a PowerPoint to the students and explained the importance of planning for the future now. Students need to select classes to prepare them for their college degree and/or future career. FBLA members presented the career pathways and then used the Missouri Connections Website to assess each student’s individual career interests. The presentation concluded with a game of career focused charades. The American Enterprise Committee was led by chairmen Karley Salmon, Kelsey Maxwell, and Jerilynn Hoover.
