University of Missouri Extension will be holding our fourth annual S.A.L.E. Conference in St. Joseph, on Saturday, March 4. S.A.L.E. stands for Small Acreage & Land Entrepreneurs. The meeting will be held on the campus of Missouri Western State University, and starts at 8:30 with registration. The conference is geared toward landowners who are looking for ways to generate income off of their land. We try to find topics of interest for both plant and animal-based enterprises.
This year, presentations will include topics such as beekeeping, growing blueberries, forestry, resources for small farms, growing mushrooms, cover crops, soil health, poultry, and many more.
