The Gallatin Theater League had a fantastic 2016 on and off the stage. Looking back on the year brings back memories of fun and of service for our members.
We are always needing new members in any capacity. Come join our fun and make memories with us.
In the spring of 2016, our members were part of the play “Drowsy Chaperone.” It was directed by Jan Stout and received rave reviews.
“Jungle Book” from the Missoula Children’s Theater brought smiles from the 33 child actors and their families. Financial support for this event came from Missouri Arts Council (MAC), Gallatin Rotary, and the Davis/Aulgur Foundation. A big ‘thank you’ is extended to Amy McMahon for serving as committee chairwoman and to Doug and Jackie Nichols for hosting the Missoula directors.
The fall of 2016 brought “Nunsense” to our stage. Sell out crowds witnessed directors Doug Nichols and Tom Garnett putting their theater experiences to work.
GTL received 2016 grants from MAC and Davis/Aulgur Foundation to make our productions possible. Other funds came from our patrons program and concession stands at B and S auctions.
New sound equipment and the stage floor leveled and repaired were improvements made to our auditorium in 2016. New floors, fire doors and a new front stop were added to our Kulis Building. Several volunteer work days were spent on these improvements. Thanks to all that helped.
GTL is now offering gift certificates. Check it out on our Facebook page.
Our spring musical will be March 16-17-18. Be watching the marquee for audition dates and times.
None of this would be possible without our great community support. We thank you so much. We love entertaining you!
