A Des Moines, Iowa, man, Nicholas Taylor, 35, was fatally injured in an accident that happened at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, in Daviess County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mr. Taylor was driving a 2017 Freightliner southbound on I-35.
About six miles north of Pattonsburg, at the 82.2 mile marker, he traveled off the right side of the roadway and began to slide. His vehicle impacted an embankment and began to overturn. Mr. Taylor, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by NTA to Cameron Hospital and pronounced by Dr. Deselms at 1:02 a.m. on Dec. 17.
