Berton Knox provided the Gallatin North Missourian with this picture of something falling from the sky at 10:50 p.m. on November 11. The ball of light was captured looking northeast from a half mile east of Hwy. D on Pleasant Road in northeast DeKalb County.
The image was captured on a security camera which was fastened to an out-building on Mr. Knox’ property. The light on the right is a fixed flood-light on the building. The flash on the left is the ball of light falling down from the sky. The light illuminated the line of trees in the distant forest.
Mr. Knox thinks this is probably space junk of some kind. He would like to know if anybody else saw it. Mr. Knox is a former engineer, retired from the Merchant Marines. He wants more information in order to accurately triangulate where the ball of light fell. Contact the Gallatin North Missourian if you saw the flash of light, and we will pass the information along to him.
