Three teenagers were hurt in an accident that happened in Harrison County at about 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, according to the highway patrol.
The wreck occurred as Hunter Brown, 18, Princeton, was southbound on Route B driving a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. He failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed US 136 and traveled off the south side of the highway. He drove through a field and struck a ditch. The vehicle came to rest in the field facing west on its wheels.
Hunter and a passenger in his vehicle, Josiah Brown, 16, Gilman City, were taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, both with minor injuries. Another passenger, Makayle Crabtree, 17, Bethany, was taken by NTA Ambulance to Liberty Hospital with moderate injuries. Hunter was wearing his seatbelt. Josiah and Makayle were not.
The Eclipse had minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. M.J. Miller, assisted by Sgt. T.L. Williams and Cpl. C.J. Sullivan.
