Funeral services for Daniel Youngs were held Dec. 3, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.
Daniel C. (Dan) Youngs, 65, Gallatin, died Nov. 30, 2016, at his home.
Dan was born July 24, 1951, the son of Louis and Helen (Rouner) Youngs in Pattonsburg. He graduated from Bethany High School in 1969 and moved to Pattonsburg.
He began his working career at Hoyt’s Wrecker Service in Bethany as a mechanic and tow driver for several years. He later moved to Unionville to work on a cattle ranch for a short period of time. Dan moved to Gallatin and started working at Critten farms as a farm hand.
He was united in marriage to Pat Shipers Sept. 20, 1997. The couple made their home on a farm east of town.
Dan later was employed at Landmark Manufacturing where he dedicated 29 years of service retiring in 2014 due to failing health.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad Youngs; and two brothers, Bob and Don Youngs.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; daughter, Julie Youngs of Gallatin; son, Jason (Charissa) Youngs of Kearney; daughter Jennifer (Trevor) Brown of St. Joseph; son, Chris (Johnathon) Baker of Kansas City; four sisters; five brothers; and nine grandchildren.
