A Kansas driver received minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash that left her vehicle upside down at about 1:43 p.m. on Nov. 23, in Daviess County.

According to the highway patrol, Carrie Schultz, 19, Prole, Iowa, was southbound on I-35. About six miles west of Winston she was forced into the median by a vehicle not involved in the collision. Her 2004 Hyundai travelled onto the northbound lane and struck a 2013 Kia being driven in the left lane by Breanna Hoffman of Lawrence, Kan. Ms. Schultz continued and struck a 2016 Subaru being driven in the right lane by Dianne Schwartz, 68, of Lawrence, Kan.
Ms. Schultz then traveled off of the east side of the road, where her vehicle came to rest. Ms. Hoffman’s vehicle came to a controlled stop just north of the crash scene. Ms. Schwartz’ vehicle traveled off of the right side of the road, overturned, and came to rest on its top facing west.
Ms. Schwartz was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt. Her Subaru was totaled.
The Hyundai had extensive damage and the Kia had minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. K.J. Cool, assisted by Lt. M.A. Ott, Cpl. P.M. Kimball, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
