The Gallatin Garden Club held their Sept. 20 meeting in Cameron at the home of Delma Rodgers. The members were glad they could drive there since Delma was not driving at that time due to a health issue. Vice President Jean Caldwell opened the meeting and Secretary Sue Downey did roll call. Jennifer Williams gave a program on making barn quilt blocks. She had a beautiful one on display. The quilt blocks can be different sizes and made out of different materials, like wood, tin and woven material. They can be hung and viewed inside or outside the home or on buildings. In the future, the club would like to see some made for the countryside along a road. Betty Bird will host the October meeting at her home. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the meeting.
