North Daviess Superintendent Daniel Street gave a facility update to the R-3 Board of Education at their meeting held Oct. 17. The new milk cooler and new dishwasher have been installed, both are working properly. The snack shack has been winterized, the generator building is complete, and the furnaces have been tested. The insurance inspector came; he didn’t think there were any major violations.

The preliminary 2015-16 Annual Performance Report results were reviewed. The report was embargoed until Nov. 7.

Board policy updates received a second reading and were tabled for further review at the November meeting.

Snow removal bid will be solicited

High School Principal Tim Harding reported attendance was 96.63% for elementary, 96.25% for high school, and 96.48% overall, with enrollment of 86. Teachers have been attending trainings, including mentoring programs and A+ meeting. College fair, picture days and Red Ribbon Week were held. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) was given on Sept. 21. Art class went to a museum.

Senior carnival took place on Oct. 7 and made $1,800. FFA fruit sales finished up with an estimated $1,500 profit. Three students attended the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis. Barnwarming was moved to Nov. 18.

Core data and Missouri Student Information Systems (MOSIS) district contract personnel list were approved.

The board entered into executive session to consider legal, student or personnel matters.

Next board meeting was set for Monday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. in Jameson.
