lock-springs-fire-stationThe Lock Springs Fire Department has started pouring the cement for a new building to house its vehicles and equipment. The building is located at the intersection of Lake Street and 2nd Street and is just off of Hwy. 190. The metal building will be approximately 50’x60′ with three doors. It will house three trucks: a brush truck; a tanker and a pumper truck. Jay Stith with Hinnen Hauling and Construction out of Chillicothe did the dirt work earlier this summer. Financing is through donations. “Them Perkins Boys Hauling” donated several tons of rock. Lock Springs Fire Department Board members include Kyle Gaunt, Will Huffman, Stan Huffman, Ron Minnick and Phil Showalter. Board members also serve on the volunteer fire department. Lock Springs Fire Chief is Kyle Gaunt.
