Two men from Jamesport were injured when their pickup collided with a tractor and grain wagon at about 3:35 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, in Livingston County.

According to the highway patrol, the accident occurred as Colin Woodworth, 32, Chillicothe, was eastbound on Liv 528 about six miles northwest of Chillicothe. Mr. Woodworth was towing a large grain wagon behind a 1978 4840 John Deer tractor. He was traveling through an uncontrolled four-way intersection when a vehicle driven by Danny Souders, 54, Jamesport, was northbound on Liv 519. Mr. Souders crested a hill in his 2004 Chevrolet 2500 and traveled into the intersection striking the tractor. The tractor came to rest facing northeast and the pickup came to rest facing southeast in the intersection.

Danny Souders was taken by Chillicothe EMS to Hedrick Medical Center with moderate injuries. An occupant in his vehicle, John Yoder, 25, Jamesport, was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene by Chillicothe EMS. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.C. Daly, assisted by Cpl. A.G. McAtee, Tpr. B.N. Raney and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
