Carol L. Teel, 77, of Gallatin, passed away Oct. 22, 2016, at the Daviess County Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday, Oct. 29th, at the Lake Viking Church. Visitation is 1 hour prior to the service. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be held at the Lake Viking Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Viking Church, 18842 Otter Ave., Gallatin, Mo. 64640.
Carol was born June 8, 1939 in Trenton, the daughter of Byron and Bernice Lockridge. Carol graduated from Gallatin High School in 1956 and attended Kirksville College, graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. Carol was united in marriage to Marvin Herman Teel Aug. 1960 in Gallatin. The couple made their home at Lake Viking. Carol was a substitute teacher in the North Kansas City School District. She later was employed at The Guy’s Food Company in Liberty for 8 years. Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Gregg Ross of Gladstone; and Denise and John Hopkins of De Soto, Kan.; her five grandchildren, Jennifer and Stephen Ross, Stephanie, Julie and Rachael Hopkins.
