A Cary, Ill., woman received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, in Daviess County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Katrina Emery, 24, Cary, Ill., was traveling northbound on I-35 in the passing lane. At the 67 mile marker, about 11 miles south of Pattonsburg, she swerved to miss another vehicle that merged into the passing lane. Her 2016 Jeep Compass travelled down an embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its side, facing east.
Ms. Emery was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.
The Jeep had extensive damage.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. J.S. Johnson, assisted by Tpr. A.D. Martin and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
