A Gallatin woman reported the back rear window of her vehicle was shot out as she was driving along Hwy. MM at about 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25.

According to a Gallatin Police Department report, Nicole Gann was approaching the Highway 6 overpass when she heard a loud noise. One of her children in the back seat screamed that the window was broken out. She pulled over next to the city dump and called the police.
A Gallatin police officer responded to the scene. No medical assistance was requested. The passenger side window of the Ford Flex was shattered, with a round point of impact, most likely caused by a BB gun or an air rifle. Damage was estimated at less than $500.
A juvenile suspect was identified on Monday, Sept. 26. The investigation is active and ongoing with assistance from a juvenile officer from the state regional office out of Hamilton.
At this point it is unknown if the incident was an accident or a deliberate act.
