$3,120 To AARC in Memory of Julia Shank

Before her death last year, Julia Shank was a dedicated advocate for the Gallatin Senior Center. She put in many hours as an AARC volunteer and also served on the board. In memory of Julia, her husband Terry Shank, daughter Dianne Odell and her husband Troy Odell were assisted by AARC personnel as they put together a two-day event, a combination supper/raffle/ auction held at the Lake Viking Clubhouse on Aug. 27-28. The event raised $3,120 for the Senior Center.

The Active Aging Resource Center provides both congregate meals and home delivered meals to our area’s growing population of seniors. The AARC receives funding from the state but is also reliant on local contributions like this generous gift given in memory of Julia Shank.
