The Daviess County Library will celebrate 100 years since the birth of the world’s number one storyteller, Roald Dahl, in the downstairs community room of the library on Saturday morning, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. with a family viewing of a favorite movie, followed by a bubble gum bubble blowing extravaganza.
“Many tremendous things are in store and wonders await!” according to staff at the library. “It’s going to be more giant than James’s peach, more enormous than a crocodile and more marvelous than George’s medicine! Join us as we celebrate the 100th birthday of Roald Dahl, the author who gave us the wacky world of Willy Wonka!”
Bring a blanket and pillows for the movie and your lungs full of air for the bubble blowing.
“We’ll have a gloriumptious game and quizzes throughout morning for those who can’t stay for the movie,” said the staff. “Join us for a phizz-whizzing morning!”
