Alden awarded Elyzabeth H. Schell Scholarship
Haley Alden of Hamilton, has been awarded the Elyzabeth H. Schell Scholarship from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Alden, a senior majoring in agribusiness management, is the daughter of Judy Alden and Ron Alden.
The Elyzabeth H. Schell Scholarship was established in 1981 by the estate of Elyzabeth Schell. The Schells were in the dairy business in the Kansas City area and had a strong interest in agriculture. Scholarships are awarded to students whose parents are Missouri landowning farmers or ranchers.
Brammer awarded Nancy Brady Kratchman Scholarship
Dane Brammer of Gallatin, has been awarded the Nancy Brady Kratchman Scholarship from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Brammer, a sophomore majoring in plant sciences, is the son of Dennis Brammer and Kim Brammer.
The Nancy Brady Kratchman Scholarship was established in 1995 by Mr. and Mrs. Philip Brady in memory of their daughter. Ms. Kratchman was a 1959 graduate with a degree in English literature. Mr. Brady was actively involved in farming his land in St. Joseph, Mo. The Bradys specified that one or more awards should be made to students from Northwest Missouri who have maintained “B” grade point average in high school and who are planning a career in production agriculture.
Heldenbrand awarded Elyzabeth H. Schell Award and Orscheln Farm and Home Supply Scholarship
Lyndi Heldenbrand of Kidder has been awarded the Elyzabeth H. Schell Award and the Orscheln Farm and Home Supply Scholarship from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Heldenbrand, a freshman majoring in biochemistry, is the daughter of Steve Heldenbrand.
As a result of receiving a prestigious MU Curator Award, which recognizes outstanding high school academic performance, Heldenbrand has also received a four year scholar award from CAFNR that is made available through various scholarship accounts.

The Orscheln Farm and Home Supply Award recognizes entering freshmen who are four-year members of the Missouri Future Farmers of America Association and a resident of the state of Missouri.
