In other business at the Aug. 15 Board of Education meeting, teaching contracts were offered to Jonathan Elder for business and Deanna Nelson for half-time preschool.
Bills were paid as presented.
The board entered executive session to discuss employee matters.
The Annual Secretary of the Board Report was approved.
Unofficial enrollment for the year is 84 students: five in preschool; 48 in elementary; and 31 in high school.
High School Principal Tim Harding has set up PBS trainings and appointed mentors to the new first year and second year teachers.
Fall HDC meeting at Newtown is August 24 at 6 p.m.
Junior high softball starts Aug. 17, with first game Sept. 6.
Varsity baseball is underway; first game is Aug.19.
Mr. Harding has completed his first two classes for certification in his specialist degree and will finish in May 2018.
