Scott Ireland, 44, Cameron, is superintendent at R-2. Mr. Ireland was born in Keflavik, Iceland, and raised in many places, including Nevada, Spain, South Dakota, and Missouri. He graduated from Seymour High School in Missouri. He received his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University; his master’s degree from William Wood University; and his specialist degree from the University of Central Missouri. He is about to complete his doctorate in education. He formerly served as superintendent of Perry County. His wife, Karie, will work for Robinson Construction, until they move. Their children are Connor and Trevor, 15 year-old twins, and David Brunner, 32, former Army.

Jackie Reed, 49, Gilman City, will teach third grade. Born and raised in Annapolis, Ms. Reed, graduated from South Iron High School there. She received a degree in ag business from Southwest Missouri State University; a degree in elementary education from Graceland University; and her master’s in literacy from the University of Missouri. She previously taught at Gilman City R-4. Her husband, Doug, works for Donelson Co. and also farms. They have two children, Morgan, 19, and Zane, 12.

Wendy Wilson, 52, Jameson, will serve as special education paraprofessional for preschool through 12th grade. Born and raised in Princeton, Ms. Wilson graduated from Princeton High School. She received a degree in travel and Tourism from Platt College. She previously taught at Gilman City R-4 for 16 years. Her husband Tim Wilson is a log cabin builder and chaplain of the Missouri Trapper’s Association. They have five children, Jacob Wilson, 32, Kaleb Wilson, 29, Luke Wilson, 28, Monica Burge, 26, and Nick Wilson, 23.

Dayna Oliver, 24, St. Joseph, will teach special education for preschool through high school. Ms. Oliver was born in Hot Springs, Ariz., and raised in small towns in southern Missouri and Kansas. She graduated from high school at Butler. She received her B.A. degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She student taught at Blue Ridge Elementary in Raytown and worked as a substitute teacher for a semester in Kansas City. Her husband, Mathew, works for Autozone in St. Joseph. They don’t have any children, just a fur-ball kitten named Anya!
