A Pattonsburg woman received moderate injuries in an accident that happened at about 2:38 p.m. on Aug. 12.

According to the highway patrol, the accident occurred as Slade Hahn, 18, Cameron, was eastbound on Highway 6, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Impala. Annie Rissler, 23, Pattonsburg, was northbound on Route D driving a 2004 Toyota Sienna Minivan. About five miles east of Maysville, Ms. Rissler attempted to cross Hwy. 6. Her vehicle was struck by Mr. Hahn’s vehicle in the front driver’s side. Mr. Hahn’s vehicle came to rest on its wheels off the north side of Hwy. 6. Ms. Rissler’s vehicle came to rest on its wheels off the south side of Hwy. 6.
Ms. Rissler was taken by Clinton-DeKalb Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. It was unknown if she was wearing her seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Trp. K.J. Cool, assisted by DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.
